Lot 463 is a stunning Bordeaux-style white – a core of different Sauv Blanc clones, augmented by Sémillon to round out the crisp edges (we've simply labeled it Sauvignon Blanc, given the high ratio). It's a classic expression of organically and biodynamically farmed fruit, made with all the bells and whistles from some of the finest vineyard sites in California. Crafted by a highly decorated, first-class winemaker with decades of training and experience both domestic and abroad, Lot 463 was hand harvested and whole cluster pressed before fermentation in a mix of concrete eggs, stainless steel tanks, and French oak barrels, additionally stirred on the lees for added depth. This combination of inputs adds enhanced richness, texture, spice, and floral qualities – a true showcase of the grape’s potential at the highest level.
 
A scintillating invitation of gooseberry and green melon leaps out of the glass, gracefully interwoven with apple and citrus blossoms. Immaculate on the entry, it awakens the palate with supple texture and minerality framed by medium+ acidity, followed by nuances of slate and fresh limes. The finish is pristine, fresh, and further accentuates the palate profile with its lingering intensity. Gorgeous now, but the ceiling of its elegance will only rise in the years to come.
