Wine Details & Tasting Notes

93-Points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar

(43% cabernet franc, 29% cabernet sauvignon and 28% merlot): Bright dark red. Discreet aromas of plum, redcurrant, licorice and spicecake. Then dense and plush but shapely and penetrating too, with a creaminess of texture enlivened by well-judged oakiness and harmonious acidity. This very sexy wine finishes with noble tannins for the vintage and excellent length. A beautiful showing. And my sample held up well for days in the recorked bottle. (5/2014)

93-Points James Suckling
Plenty of currant and plum aromas follow through to a medium body, with fine tannins and an integrated finish. Very pretty indeed. Classy young cab. Bordeaux blend.

92-Points Wine Enthusiast
Sweet cherry, red licorice, violet, cocoa and new oak flavors make this wine drinkable now despite firm tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon's role is relatively muted, with Cab Franc taking a starring role, and Merlot also a strong component of the blend. The window of drinkability extends at least through 2019.
