Rich gold on the pour with flecks of orange around the rim, this wine wears its age beautifully; the aromatics are deeply complexed from proper bottle aging, showing roasted almonds and curd wrapped around a marsala-like core, haloed by dried berries and gravel. The entry boasts marzipan, stone fruit, deftly interwoven acidity, and a deep structure for a white makes for an introspective experience. The finish is toasted, but not toasty, with incredible length, showing further almond, baked apple, and exotic, yet mellow spice.
