Lot 100 | 2019 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon - Sourced from an iconic Rutherford estate, Lot 100 displays quintessential Rutherford dust while bathing your buds in red and black fruit and layered with an elegance that is gorgeously ethereal.

Lot 218 | 2019 Syrah Napa Valley - Gold Medal winner, rated 92-Points and sourced from a combination of Rutherford and St. Helena fruit, this is a no-expense-spared Syrah that deep garnet in the glass with meaty black plum haloed by sage, anise and lavender spice. 

Lot 228 | 2019 100-Year-Old-Vine "Mokelumne River" Lodi ZinfandelMedium, deep ruby in the glass. Smoke, spice, and black pepper halo robust plum, raspberry fruit and river rock. As the wines opens up, the black pepper becomes more pronounced with bourbon caramel and blackberry joining the elegant bouquet. The wine is plush yet firm on entry, super-supple and mouth-coating with ample minerality and stem tannin to carry rich red and purple fruit to long, pure finish

Lot 61 | 2018 Dry Creek Zinfandel - Sourced from 40+ year old vines, this wine is gorgeously perfumed with powdery purple blossom and lavender notes mingling with raspberry top notes and blackberry pie bass with hints of black pepper. Pretty cherry and smoky, meaty notes emerge with air and make it all the more sumptuous. Supple on entry, its exceptionally well-balanced with chewy acidity and perfectly attenuated grip, finishing pure and velvety with cherry and raspberry notes framed by vanilla oak. Goddamn this is beautiful stuff.

Lot 136 | 2018 Adelaida District, Paso Robles SyrahOh yeah. Deep Paso, baby. The Adelaida District lies west of highway 101 and Paso Robles and its rocky, calcareous soils, high-elevation and ocean proximity make it some the best terroir in the region. Deep purple and fairly opaque. The nose is gorgeous, redolent with pretty pastille, powdered violet, and a pure beam of boysenberry surrounded with ethereal earthen tones and anchored with bacon fat.

Lot 119 | 2018 Chalk Hill Syrah - This wine is an open-knit style, big and bold and immediately accessible with five-to-seven-years of ageing capability. I liked this wine so much I paid as much as, if not more than, many Napa Cabernet's I purchased. Big, bold, lush and juicy, these wines will have broad appeal. The Syrah has 90-94 point scores, year-in, year-out from the Wine Spectator. 

Lot 113 | 2019 Petite Sirah Fair Play District /El Dorado County - Medium/dark garnet in the glass with effusive white pepper rising up through fresh, macerated raspberry and expressive layers of hard cherry candy, tobacco leaf, and leather with a lovely caramel robe enveloping the bouquet. Bright and vibrant with mouth-watering acidity and palate staining focus, candied fruit, pepper and spice lingering through a terrific retro-nasal driven finish. Deeeelicious. 

Lot 58 | 2018 McDowell Valley, Mendocino County Petite Sirah - Ding, Ding, another Gold Medal winner and rate 91-Points. Dark in the glass but not inky. The nose is fresh and vibrant with peppery, meaty blackberry jam accented with rhubarb notes and haloed with powdery, perfumed rose petal and graham cracker spice. Supple on entry with ripe raspberry and white pepper/thyme top notes. Bright but extracted throughout with glycerin-coated tannins that meld beautifully with the brambly fruit and integrated oak in a long, elegant finish. This is truly classy Petite Sirah made in a style that will have broad appeal an potentially change the way you think about PS.

Lot 154 | 2018 Walla Walla MalbecOpaque in the glass with just a hint of ruby around the rim. Pungent aromas of chaparral, sage and violet adorn toffee-laced, candied black cherry fruit. With air, an even deeper register of black plum fruit, earthy spice and coffee join the party. Supple on entry with ample structure and interwoven tannins just beginning to unwind revealing black cherry and cedar spice finishing with with a kiss of vanilla, clove and cinnamon. This wine is beautifully balanced and complex and ready to rock-and-roll.

Lot 153 | 2018 Columbia Valley (Walla Walla) CSMDeep-ruby, medium-purple in the glass. The aromas are a bit disjointed from bottling but still lovely, showing excellent complexity...clearly there is a lot going on here. Savory seasoned oak, deep plum and bourbon-soaked cherries ebb and flow with waves of coffee bean and candle wax notes. Again, this will need another 30 days to coalesce but it will be beautiful. Plush and chewy across the palate with outstanding structure that is at once approachable but provides plenty of stuffing for another decade of ageing potential.

Lot 148 | 2019 Sierra Foothills Cabernet/Syrah - Liquid Silk! Deep ruby in the glass. Chocolate-covered cherries, acacia blossom and plenty of spicy cinnamon with dark berry notes and a kiss of red rock in fresh-turned black earth. Racy on the palate with silky, juicy dark berry and chocolate unfurling on a wave of big-grained yet soft and succulent foothill tannins. Brooding and super-serious? No. Just sexy fruit and a playful demeanor that's quite compelling.

Lot 214 | 2020 Petaluma Gap Pinot NoirMedium-to-deep ruby in the glass, this is fairly dark Pinot. Lush berry fruit is complexed with a lovely sous bois earthiness in the bouquet. Aromas of dried rose petals, candied ginger, and hot cinnamon are layered with pretty cola, strawberry, and aromatic cedar notes. WOW complexity. Rich and muscular yet elegant on entry, this Pinot presents layers of texture and extract replete with strawberry and raspberry fruit nicely attenuated over a supple tannin structure lifting with an Asian spice minerality in a long, unctuous finish. Fresh throughout with perfectly integrated ripeness, this Pinot Noir will thrill your palate for years to come.
