Description

Lot 499 is a no-expense-spared 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, gorgeously crafted with “best of everything” inputs at every step of the process. Garnering scores in the mid-90s from major critics and publications vintage after vintage, it goes for over $120/bottle, $1440/case under its original label. We've got it for over 70% OFF!

Alluring aromas of blackberries, black cherries, crushed violets, dark chocolate, and cedar greet you on the nose, delineated by a halo of iris and caramel. The palate is terroir-driven – concentrated dark fruits meet gravel and crushed river stones, accented by new soft leather and tobacco leaf, all buoyed by medium+ acidity and anchored by grippy, medium-grained tannins. The finish is dry and persistent, with crushed florals, dark brambles, and earth. An obvious champion of your cellar for years to come, but if you can’t resist, a healthy decant will do wonders.

How about a blockbuster Cab? From Howell Mountain no less, up for grabs for over 70% OFF!

We worked our negotiating magic, and this world-class wine is now available to you at a price lower than the generic mass-produced Cab on your local grocery shelf! Simply outrageous.

Our price: $189/6-pack, $31+/bottle.

Howell Mountain’s harsh and rocky volcanic soils force vines to struggle mightily, growing tiny clusters of thick-skinned, extremely concentrated berries. Wonderfully ripe fruit was hand-harvested from our source’s low-yield vineyards and sorted for quality, then destemmed. After gentle pressing and small lot fermentation with cold maceration to extract maximum flavor, tannin, and color, the juice was settled into 100% French oak barrels for 18 months. If you’ve never tasted Howell Mountain before, this is a fabulous opportunity to have your “a-ha” moment and see what everyone is so crazy about.
