A cool spring followed, delaying bud break. Summer was unremarkable in the best way: consistently warm temperatures without extreme heat events allowed grapes to retain acidity and ripen gently. The mild weather continued through fall, allowing growers to pick fabulously ripe and completely mature fruit at their leisure.
