Poor Syrah.

One of the world's great varietals, it gets short shrift on this list.

You guys know the old wine industry joke, don't you? What's the difference between a case of herpes and case of Syrah?

You can get rid of herpes.

OK, I probably shouldn't mention that joke in an email promo for this fantastic and vastly under appreciated varietal, but, there you go!

Aaaanyhow, the best damn deals on our website are, IMHO, our Syrahs. You can't beat Syrah for its right-between Cabernet and Pinot structure, its wonderful complexity, juicy approachability and the outstanding value it always overdelivers on (at least our Syrahs do).

To be honest, I struggle to sell Syrah; in fact, our recent offering of a fantastic Santa Cruz Mountains Syrah got no love.

But, like any relationship, you have to invest in it. So, I am willing to invest in my love of Syrah (and inability to say no whenever a good one comes across my desk) by offering you a whoop-ass Syrah sampler (at what amounts to my cost) just so I can turn you on to this wonderful variety.
