Part of the Arcane series, this is pinnacle of the winemakers blending art, not just with varietals, but with vintage as well.
Normally you would expect to pay $30-$40/bottle for these wines (though there are some direct importers at $27+to $30/bottle).
Xavier Vignon Arcane "La Temperance"
92 -Points Wine Advocate, 93-points James Suckling - This multi-vintage (15,16,17 and 18) Rhone red sourced entirely from Cairanne is 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah. Vinified in 200 liter, glass Wine Globes, this full-bodied red is silky but not overwhelmingly heavy. The wine bursts from the glass with black cherries and plum, layered with a dash of cedar and leather. Drink now or cellar for another 5-7 years.
...This self-confidently rich and fleshy Cairanne, also has a very well-crafted structure, the gentle tannins keeping the 15% alcohol on track. I love the dark, earthy finish that pulls you back to the glass for more. 93-points James Suckling
