We’ve picked up a sublime 100% Chardonnay from a producer that put Green Valley of Russian River Valley on the map. Lot 474 comes from two pristine vineyards nestled among the appellation's rolling hills. Previous vintages garnered 90+ points from the major publications, not to mention a rabid local following, so it’s no surprise that direct from the winery, this fetches a quite a bit of money.

A floral nose opens with a bit of mineral, followed by white blossoms, lemon oils, Asian pear, and whispers of pineapple. The entry is expressive, with additional citrus and white blossoms distributed over exceptionally balanced texture, tangible acidity, and an overall impeccable framework. A clean, resonant finish is uplifted with lime peel, shifting to delicate florals that beckon a second sip.
