From a Napa family with some of the most legendary estate vineyards for Cabernet Sauvignon in all of Napa Valley, Mendocino, and Lake County, Lot 476 is a 100% single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon grown at their Ukiah site. For almost fifty years, it’s been an essential element in triple-digit Napa Valley Proprietary Reds.

On the nose, beautiful high-toned red fruit and cassis are underpinned by turned leaves, blue fruit, and soft leather. Terroir abounds on palate entry, with pepper, leather, cherry-esque acidity, and forest floor framed by medium+ acidity, wet stone minerality, and medium-grained crushed tannins. The finish is long, barrel-kissed with vanilla bean, spice, and resonant earthy tones that make for a wine that’s equally quaffable on its own or accompanying a meal.

Tremendous Value from Ukiah

"Lot 476 is a home run. It’s a fantastic Mendocino Cabernet that punches well above its weight class. Great fruit, perfect balance, and a real crowd-pleaser at dinner. At this price point, the value is simply unbeatable for a wine of this pedigree. Don't sleep on these Ukiah lots!"

Nice midweek wine!

"This one is pretty nice! It isn’t a giant cab, so don’t expect that (and don’t try to pair it with a big steak). But the flavor profile makes it nice to drink on its own, with higher acid food pairings, or a nice charcuterie board. And, with the lower ABV, it’s a great mid-week wine. We’ve really enjoyed it."

Richard H. (4/5)

Good wine

"Enjoyed it."

Charlie B. (3/5)

Solid CA cab!

"I’ve bought a few mixed cases from DN over the past few months. Most reds hit their mark after a 6 hour decant. I tried this cab right out of the bottle. Very smooth, definitely drinkable, also needs a decant. DN wines are worth every penny. Would definitely buy again."

Delicious bold red

"Great bottle to bring out during a dinner party with friends."

Lucie B. (5/5)

Solid cab

"A little one dimensional but smooth and easy to drink. Good cellar defender."

Lot 476 Mendocino Cabernet

"Very nice wine. Relatively low alcohol - 13. 5 - so you're not overwhelmed by cloying sweetness."
