Lot 510 is an extraordinary 100% single-vineyard Pinot Noir from one of the top vineyard sites in the entire North Coast. Crafted by a winemaker whose resume includes arguably the most famous winery in Sonoma, this small-batch release is as fine a Pinot Noir as you’ll find anywhere, with apex pedigree to boot. Our source has premier Pinot vineyards in choice parcels across the AVA, but for this release, they tap a truly special site hidden in the hills on the west side of the Russian River Valley.

On the nose, this wine opens with an interplay of cherries and mushrooms, bolstered by floral aromas of violets and iris with a subtle cola halo. Across a heady palate, additional cherry and raspberry coalesces with dried leaves, buoyed by exceptional acidity and spice, revealing small, grippy tannins. A dry, vibrant finish begins with barrel-kissed spice and vanilla blossom before crescendoing with red berries through the exit, leaving a lasting impression.

Acceptable Pinot

"Some fruit flavor that is soft and smooth, but nothing boldly discernable like the rich cherry nor raspberry found in the Pinot's I usually enjoy,"

Steven T. (3/5)

Very good

"But a little young! Only going to get better, more approachable, etc . I’d sit on it for a bit"

Cannon (4/5)

Characteristic RR Pinot at a remarkable price

"A fine example of a medium priced RR Pinot - excellent fruit, soft tannins with moderately full mouth feel, followed by tannin to give a bit of finish. At this price, amazing deal"

Jeff C. (4/5)

Pairs well with North African spices

"We paired this Pinot with Harissa chicken. The wine's bright, acidic, and fruity character was a perfect match."

Joseph M. (4/5)

Delicious Everyday Pinot Noir

"As advertised, the nose presents cherries and mushroom, and opens on the palette with further cherry and raspberry, accompanied by bright acidity and modest well-integrated tannins. A clear step above more mass-produced Pinot’s, this is nonetheless more of an everyday drinker than something for a very special occasion. A little more bottle age may prove beneficial."

Nigel B. (4/5)

Wonderful, easy to enjoy

"Wonderfully smooth drinking wine, with rich flavor but mild in tannins."

Paul D. (5/5)

Great buy

"I would love to have this again!"

Fred B. (5/5)

Superb

"Light and refreshing. One of my favorites."

Zamin M. (5/5)

Excellent pinot value made for weeknights

"Lot 510 is smooth, flavorful, and easy on the palate, and it's a great example of why I like De Nogoce. Compared to what you can get locally for the same price, Lot 510 is a much more sophisticated wine and delivers a far superior (and financially guilt free) weeknight bottle."
