Lot 568 is a supremely elegant, yet concentrated Burgundian-style Pinot Noir sourced from estate vineyards in Potter and Ukiah Valleys. It hails from a small family-run winery that's been producing award-winning small-batch wines for over 50 years (they also produced our sold out Lot 443).

A glistening ruby on the pour, the bonafide Burgundian nose bursts forth with strawberry sauce, fresh foraged mushrooms, cinnamon spice, and rose petals. The Burgundian qualities carry into the terroir-driven palate, where deftly balanced acidity meets elegant minerality, with small, fresh tannins amidst earth tones, gunflint, and concentrated red berries. The finish is beautiful, unfurling with uplifted spice and vanilla florals before making way for cranberries and strawberries, then leaving with a subtle echo of delicate floral reverberations.

Smooth and easy

"A nice light Pinot. I enjoyed this very much sipping it by itself. It was a little too light for my rotisserie chicken, but after dinner by itself, it was smooth and luscious. Would recommend."

Acceptable Pinot

"Nicely balanced with acceptable fruit flavors, however, we like a bit more rich cherry flavor than this one exhibited."

Good value

"I did a side-by-side tasting and comparison of LOT 534 Pinot Noir (2023 Sonoma Coast), and LOT 568 Pinot Noir (2023 Mendocino coast). To do this I waited long enough that both releases are well beyond bottle-shock. Both are Burgundian style Pinots, and I like them a lot, but there are differences. LOT 568 is a lot smoother and ready to drink now compared to LOT 534. However, it does not exhibit the unique “earthy” Pinot Noir traits, which 534 exhibits in abondance."

One of our favorite Pinots

"We haven't met a De Negoce Pinot that we didn't like, but this one from Mendocino is top tear! We have already ordered a second case. Nice tannins and a beautiful finish!"

Jacqueline S. (5/5)

Nice Pinot noir

"Pleasant flavor and nice nose"

Bob C. (4/5)

Delicious

"Close your eyes and imagine a perfect Pinot Noir. This bottle is it. Complex, yet super easy to drink. I cannot wait to run out, and order more."

Martin (5/5)

Solid Pinot

"A little lighter and not as smooth on the finish as some of my favorite CA Pinots, but would pair well with many foods and clearly is a great price. Buy a few bottles so you can get the vibe on the first one and pair it from there based on taste."

James (4/5)
