Lot 575 is a 100% single-vineyard 92-point James Suckling scored (under our label) Cabernet Sauvignon from a historic site perched high atop Moon Mountain. This is showcase of volcanic minerality, vibrant acidity, and terrific ageability hails from a top-tier house with a long history of crafting highly acclaimed Cabernets from mountain and valley floor terroirs alike

The nose immediately boasts a strong sense of place, as volcanic minerality dances around dark fruit and cloves haloed by loamy, dusty earth, all underpinned by black cherry with hints of wild blueberries. The palate showcases that mineral-driven exposition, interwoven with dark chocolate, cherry reduction, and tobacco with a touch of leather. Medium+ acidity and perfectly integrated, persistent tannins frame the wine, leading to a finish carried by an initial spice before making way for lingering notes of rich dark fruit and crushed violet umami. Already expressive, this is approaching its prime and is only going to blossom more in the coming years.
