Lot 597 is a single-vineyard, estate-grown 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a producer long recognized for crafting small lots of terroir-driven wines that routinely earn mid-90s scores from top critics. In this exceptional vintage, their deft hand has yielded a wine that marries power with impeccable refinement, all while expressing the winery’s signature sense of place.

Powerful plum and cassis draw you into the glass, unfolding with layers of clay dust, menthol, and a subtle green-pepper nuance. The palate is broad and deeply structured, packed with concentrated dark fruit, soft leather, and coffee tones bolstered by medium+ acidity and plentiful dry, grippy tannins. The finish stretches at length, opening with wet stones and spice before crescendoing into blackberry coulis, crushed florals, and fresh vanilla blossoms. Still in its youth, the best is yet to come, though we highly recommend a 24-hour decant if you can’t resist.
