Éleveur | 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis Le Village Rouge is a gorgeously deep 100% Pinot Noir from one of the most respected appellations targeted by serious Burgundy collectors. This artfully crafted cuvée is both refined and intense – as complete a red Burgundy as we’ve offered, and punching way above its Village classification, with 93 points from James Suckling under our label.

The nose is bursting with a concentration of complex black cherries and raspberries, layered atop vanilla blossoms and cracked pepper-kissed mushrooms. Wonderful structure and richness define the palate entry, as raspberry sauce meets forest floor and fresh-turned leaves amidst deftly balanced acidity and ripe tannins. A long, dry finish possessing strong minerality and spice makes way for elegant waves of sliced vanilla beans and the slightest hint of cherry umami. Excellent today, but an exquisite cellar wine for years to come.
