Lovers of powerful Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, we've secured an incredible deal on a hedonistic Napa Valley expression - nothing short of a cellar star weighing in at an outrageous cellar defending price.

Technically, it's a beautiful Bordeaux-style blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 6% Malbec, 1% Petit Verdot. The source winery labels it Proprietary Red, but per our contract and considering the high ratio of Cab, we’ve simply labeled it Cabernet Sauvignon.

Lot 459 hails from a historic house just east of the Silverado Trail. This is a pricey one - under the original label, it fetches $100+/bottle, $1200+/case before winery shipping charges; as per usual, we're happy to pass the enormous savings on to you.

Our price: $36/bottle.

With the 2022 Cabs just hitting the market, this is your chance to get in on this excellent vintage. A warm growing season wrought big, ripe fruit perfect for powerful Napa Cabs. A master of the red blend, our source’s winemaker has decades of experience coaxing the best out of Napa’s mountain and valley fruit, and in this wine the expertise is on full display - a hand-picked selection of Napa’s finest sub-appellations coming together for a sumptuous drinking experience that could be described as "valley floor meets Diamond Mountain."

Whole-cluster pressed to enhance color and tannin, the fruit was then moved into open-top fermenters, where it was punched down regularly to extract the most out of the bunches. Following fermentation, it was treated to a no-expense-spared, 100% French oak barrel program, with 40% new wood.

A sophisticated nose of crushed violets, blackberry, boysenberry sauce, new leather, dark chocolate, red berries, and a faint hint of herbs emerges from the glass. Upon the palate, the wine reveals masterful structure with finesse - balanced acidity and small, grippy tannins set the table for dark cherries and blackberries, followed by a graceful finish that takes you on delineated waves of black fruit umami, vanilla blossoms, and baking spices. A wine of both presence and power.
