We were approached by a world-class winery along the Silverado Trail that wanted to quietly move some of their phenomenal ’22 Napa Cab. There would be no further outreach to other potential buyers – we swiftly locked it in. Now, we present Lot 482, a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, comprised of fruit from three premier sites along the Silverado Trail.

This Cab is a stunner, opening with a nose of delineated red fruit, barrel-influenced spice, black cherries, and potting soil that combine for an incredible olfactory experience. The palate is deftly balanced (as a wine of this caliber should be); rich red fruit and an expertly weighted body is bolstered by medium acidity, framed by perfectly-integrated firm, medium-grained tannins. Dry and resonant on the finish, red fruit umami is set against spice and fresh-sliced vanilla bean through a long, lingering exit. An incredibly quaffable wine that’s pure pleasure on its own, but even better with a filet.

This one a keeper!

"This one punches a little above itsweight class, so to speak. I'd bought a case of these a couple years ago and thought I was out of them, but my wife had one stashed away we'd forgotten about. After going through several lackluster reds over many months, we found our last "hidden" 482, and wow was that a welcome pour! All the good things you love about a solid cab --I won't bother with the flowery descrptive language, you know it all (cassis and minerals and tobacco and all that)-- I'll just say it's got the goods, dry, great flavor that's not jammy, great finish with plentiful tannins and lingering finish. Well worth its price. It's not a "stunner" per se, it's just great for its price. I'll be watching for sales on this one while it's still in stock. Hope this helps."

"This was well-balanced, with delightful red fruit and just the right acidity and dryness. Quite lively and delicious. Will show better with more time. I'd like to revisit this in at least a couple of years. 93++pts. My 2nd bottle was even better than the last, with so much concentration and extraction. The last glass was so unctuous. That said, these wines really need a few more years to unfurl a bit."
