2024 Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay

Lot 560 is an estate-grown, block-select, 100% Chardonnay from one of California’s finest vineyards, meticulously hand-farmed by a family who's been at it for decades. Though sourced by some of the most renowned labels in the game, this vineyard’s crème de la crème fruit is reserved for our source (which we’ve acquired here). They've crafted a scintillating, full-bodied Chardonnay, where oaky/buttery elements are paired with a gorgeous acidity and fruit purity.

Golden on the pour, the nose is a parade of concentrated lemon oil, baking spice, toast, and golden apples, with background music of fresh butter and spiced orange blossoms. On entry, spiced pears and crème brûlée stretch out over perfect weight and wonderful texture, tuned perfectly to the medium+ acidity and revealing a mild, uplifted spice that reveals apples and white florals amongst a bit of tannin. The finish undulates over spice and fresh-sliced vanilla bean, revealing more white florals and citrus blossoms through an umami-rich finale.
