Lot 595 is a single-vineyard Cabernet that’s at the top of every mountain collector’s list of prized Atlas Peak bottlings. An intense high-elevation expression with a Cabernet core, it’s enhanced by splashes of Bordelaise varietals from blocks within the same vineyard and is a true insider find – even if you were willing to make the drive, you can't just walk in and purchase this members-only showpiece. Sourced from a producer with a long reputation for crafting mountain grapes of the highest order into exquisite wines, their 2023 vintage offering is nothing short of spectacular.

Deeply colored on the pour, this wine oozes mountain fruit excellence from the outset. The nose reveals layers of dark fruits, blackcurrant, and cassis coalescing with staves and cocoa shavings alongside wet granite and a defined minerality. Upon entry, concentrated and structured dark fruits sink deep into the palate, lifted by baking spice and medium+ acidity while plentiful, fresh tannins stretch out across the palate. A long, dry, and resonant finish echoes the wine’s dark fruit core. Already showing strong quaffability even in its youth, it will easily lay down for the next decade plus and reward the patient connoisseur.

Very good Atlas Peak wine

"We loved this one, dark purple in the glass, currants, blackberries, tannins, oaky, smoky really liked this one. Decanted for about an hour. Great wine."

Brian S. (5/5)

Serious wine deserves serious decanting

"Deep, beautiful purple wine with exquisite nose. Extremely tight on opening with a stringent, tannic palate. Upon decanting overnight, the wine opened up and revealed supple tannins and a subtle palate. Age for 10-15 years or be prepared for extended decanting."

Chas (5/5)

Big, bold, Napa cab

"This is De Negoce’s sweet spot - a quintessential Napa cab - big and fruity. Its a wonderful wine - open it before you start cooking and let it breathe."

Carolyn S. (5/5)

595 Cab

"This 2023 Cab is amazing from start to finish!"

Mark O. (4/5)

Delicious

"Very easy to drink! Tastes like an expensive cab."

Charlie B. (5/5)

Excellent value, fine wine

"We find this wine easy to enjoy (but we noticed that some of our less favorable reviews don’t get published!)"

Frank M. (5/5)

Atlas peak 2022

"This is one of my favorite cabs! Very full-bodied and I always order when I see it’s available!"

Char M. (5/5)

Better than Advertised

"Reading the description and doing a little research indicated this would be a good bottle of wine at just about any price but at this price it was a real bargain and I will be ordering more."

William C. (5/5)

Single Vineyard Atlas Peak

"Single vineyard Atlas Peak at this price point is unbelievable! The wine was ridiculously good. We decided to decant for approximately an hour and it was fantastic. Highly recommend!"

Steve (5/5)

Started as a cellar defender. . .

"Like so many wines from here the price is ridiculously low for the quality. We started buying these wines to allow the big name players time to rest. Now we are putting away these wines as well because of their fine structure and potential. Very nicely done!"
