The vintage report for the 2022 Napa reds describes this crop as having "wines with excellent structure, deep red colors, luxurious tannins, and exquisite fruit-forward aromatics." This offer is right on the money - a 100% Napa Valley Cab from a blue chip estate located off the Silverado Trail.

A reduction in on-premise sales freed up a bit of their flagship juice, which until now was only available via the tasting room for $90/bottle, $1080/case before shipping charges. This was a no brainer pickup for us, and we got it for you at a hot price!

Lot 454 comes to us from a program whose global calling card is its red-to-black fruit, dusty Napa Valley Cab profile. Nowadays, "big Napa Cab" generally implies a high-alcohol wood bomb. Not this time; this is classic, beautifully structured Napa Cab with a balanced wood program and no overpowering ABV, resulting in a dynamic expression full of character and equally enjoyable in the near term (with a healthy decant) as it will be over the next decade+ while it matures gracefully.

Our price: $36/bottle.

Primarily mountain fruit with some Oakville blended in, the grapes were hand harvested, destemmed, then settled in for local, native yeast fermentation in open-top fermenters with punchdowns. The juice was then transferred to a no expense spared 100% French oak regimen comprised of some of the finest cooperage available, 40% new wood.

Classic Napa Valley on the nose, with red-to-black fruits, graphite, eucalyptus, and clay pot in a dusty presentation with youthful spices. The palate showcases incredible structure for its youth, with cherries, currant, and cedar leading into toffee and vanilla amidst medium acidity and fresh, grippy tannins. The finish is powerful, with red fruit umami sliced by vanilla bean and baking spice - the perfect Cab for the perfect steak.
