Description

Lot 593 hails from an all-time Napa winery’s absolute force of flagship program. Their mastery from vineyard to bottle is second to none, and has been consistent for over half a century. Farming is how they started, so it’s no surprise that the grapes are estate-grown in prime valley floor and mountain sites. Only the best juice goes into this program, and it receives extended oak aging. Quoting its original price would give it away, but it’s a fair shot over $200/bottle, with older vintages commanding far more at specialty retailers. Once again, we’ve cracked the code and are bringing you some of Napa’s finest at an astonishing price: under $30.

Dark on the pour with a deep ruby core, the wine opens with a nose that’s expansive and concentrated: black cherries and currants are underpinned by blackberries, accented by wet gravel. Secondary notes of tobacco, cedar, and cocoa nib emerge with air, haloed by a subtle thread of menthol and peppercorn. The palate is broad and powerful, driven by currant and black fruit framed by new soft leather, firm structure, and a vein of minerality that makes way for refined, grippy tannins and spice. The finish is long, dry, and resonant, with baking spice up front that dances into black cherry and crushed violets before waves upon waves of vanilla. If there was ever a wine to save for a great steak, this is the one.

Our final Black Friday Daily Deal is the finale you’ve all been waiting for!

After this list’s rabid response to Lot 569 (which sold out in a day), we reached back out to see if our source was willing to part with more. They were quite happy that we paid for our initial batch so quickly (you’d be surprised how often invoices in this industry go delinquent for months), and immediately agreed to another deal honoring the same pricing! Once labs confirmed the wine was identical, we knew we had a Black Friday Cab offer on our hands. Fast, clean business gets rewarded – and so do our customers as a result. As always, we give each acquisition its own Lot number, but know that this is the same powerhouse wine.

For those who missed out the first time, here’s the scoop: this is a blockbuster Napa Cab from a household name that even people who don’t drink are familiar with – a legendary producer whose influence on local winemaking is impossible to overstate. They’ve rewritten the playbook for Napa flavor profile, pioneering a big, bombastic house style beloved by Cab drinkers worldwide. Imitated by many, there’s still no substitute for the original, which is why we seized the rare opportunity to bring it to you at a mind-boggling price: 85% OFF!

Our price: $169/6-pack, $28+/bottle!

This is a prime example of the best that 2022 had to offer. It was a hot, dry year, allowing these elite grapes to reach peak ripeness and produce a tremendously powerful wine. Our NDA prohibits us from disclosing most of the winemaking details, but the moment you taste it, the top-of-the-line inputs and techniques become obvious. And of course, an oak program of the finest cooperage goes without saying.
