Description

Lot 595 is a single-vineyard Cabernet that’s at the top of every mountain collector’s list of prized Atlas Peak bottlings. An intense high-elevation expression with a Cabernet core, it’s enhanced by splashes of Bordelaise varietals from blocks within the same vineyard and is a true insider find – even if you were willing to make the drive, you can't just walk in and purchase this members-only showpiece. Sourced from a producer with a long reputation for crafting mountain grapes of the highest order into exquisite wines, their 2023 vintage offering is nothing short of spectacular. Commanding north of $125/bottle under its original label, our negotiations secured this heavy hitter for you at barely $23 a pop (including shipping)!

Deeply colored on the pour, this wine oozes mountain fruit excellence from the outset. The nose reveals layers of dark fruits, blackcurrant, and cassis coalescing with staves and cocoa shavings alongside wet granite and a defined minerality. Upon entry, concentrated and structured dark fruits sink deep into the palate, lifted by baking spice and medium+ acidity while plentiful, fresh tannins stretch out across the palate. A long, dry, and resonant finish echoes the wine’s dark fruit core. Already showing strong quaffability even in its youth, it will easily lay down for the next decade plus and reward the patient connoisseur.

Here we go.

Longtime members of this program know that we go big every fall season with a lineup of elite releases as our best offerings of the year. Given the chaotic state of the market, we’ve seized the moment and zeroed in on some of the most extraordinary wine buying opportunities in years. This combination of oversupply, portfolio realignments, and capital crunch we’re seeing all at once only takes place a few times in decades. As your personal wine buyers, we’ve landed you some serious trophy Cabernets that exceeded even our own lofty expectations.

Without further ado, it’s time to introduce the first release in our Big Fall Series: an exclusive Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon for over 80% OFF!

Deal terms unsurprisingly prohibit us from stating source pricing, but it commands north of $125/bottle under its original label. Our negotiations secured this heavy hitter for you at barely $23 a pop (including shipping) – how’s that for starting with a bang?

Our price: $279/case DELIVERED, that’s only $23+/bottle to your door!

Up on the mountain above the fog line, it requires an extra level of devotion to grow grapes on the rocky, volcanic slopes of Atlas Peak. Given its reputation and pedigree, it’s no surprise that the valley’s silk-stocking estates pay top dollar for fruit grown from these free-draining shallow soils, where low yields of tiny, beautifully concentrated grapes become the lifeblood of some of Napa’s most coveted reds. Vines are tended entirely by hand and harvested in small lots to ensure each cluster achieves ideal maturity. In the cellar, you’ll find more of the same meticulous attention to detail, culminating in barrel aging for two years in 100% French oak of the finest cooperage to perfectly complement the epic terroir.
