Lot 587 is an estate-grown 100% Viognier from the heart of the valley. Our source’s devotion to the varietal is such that while others tend to plant it in Napa’s cooler southern reaches, they choose to cultivate it with obsessive precision in a benchland vineyard smack dab in the middle of prime Cab territory, using these prized soils out of love for the grape. So, it’s only fitting that something so special is the first Napa Valley Viognier in the history of our Lot program. A luscious wine with a touch of lees stirring for added refinement, this is a lovely bottle that showcases a strong sense of place.

Fragrant and full-bodied, this golden wine rises from the glass with expressive notes of nectarine and peach, layered with wet stone, crushed gravel, and a sublime minerality wrapped in a veil of ripe cantaloupe. On entry, lychee and mango are bolstered by river stones and exceptional palate weight, with medium+ acidity adding lift. A flash of spice marks the finish before gradually yielding to stone fruit, beeswax, and mineral persistence.
