Lot 488 is a 100% single-vineyard Chardonnay from one of the families that brilliantly showcases this region’s immense potential. One of the most refined bottlings in the entire AVA, it’s an exquisitely balanced “Burgundy meets Arroyo Seco” expression that features a weightless palate and gobs of complexity over seamlessly integrated oak.

A beautiful sunbeam of a pour invites you into a nose of golden apples, crème brûlée, wet stones, and delicate tropical tones haloed by fresh bread and foraged mushrooms. The entry is expertly balanced, with medium acidity and a brilliant structure accented by a chalky minerality and a creamy texture that feels just about weightless. The finish is clean, long, and kissed by white florals, apples, and flecks of vanilla. Delectable.
