Wine Details & Tasting Notes

The last of our "Altitude" series of Sonoma County wines sourced from a high-altitude vineyard on the Mayacamas Mountain, just a stones throw from the Spring Mountain District, OG N.38 2018 Sonoma "Altitude" Syrah is a fantastic Cote Rotie-styled effort combining a meaty savoriness with spicy herbal notes and black and blue fruits. There's plenty of mountaintop backbone to meld the richness and power.

White pepper and mulberry pie are haloed with blueberry, tarry earth and lilac. The wine is powerfully built with a firm structure that readily supports the various layers of rich fruit and gamy earth. Seamless across the palate finishing with tons of pepper and black fruit in a silky tannin flourish. Delicious now but will age another 8-12 years easy.
