Deep ruby on the pour, a complex and structured nose of cherries, peach, toasted almond, and spice greet you in the glass. The entry is rich with rose, red berries, cocoa shavings, and dried herb bouquet deftly interwoven with incredible acidity, and ripe, uniform, medium-grained, grippy tannins. The finish is long - very long - with cherry preserves, vanilla blossoms, and an uplifted spice, indicating a very ageable wine aged in refined cooperage.
