Lot 331 | 2021 DOC Sicilia Grillo 750ml

Lot 331
2021 DOC Sicilia Grillo

Beautiful nose of fresh-peeled grapefruit and citrus blossoms with an herbaceous halo. The entry is expertly weighted, clean, and dry with noticeable saline qualities framed around medium+ grapefruited acidity sliced through by stoney minerality accented by dried thyme. The finish retains the wine’s dry character resonating with grapefruit pith umami accented by dried herb bouquet. Grillo is a perfect wine for fans of Pinot Grigio.

Great summer Italian white

"I ordered the Sicilian range offered, tasted and reordered. My reorder skewed toward Grillo and a few ordered. Great summer Italian wine."

Jeff M. (4/5)

Really nice

"I would buy this again. Excelent wine for the price (or double the price). I would buy more if I could. Nice and crisp. Nice and dry."

Emily G. (4/5)

refreshing and fruity

"I've re- ordered this wine a couple of times. Mellow and tart at the same time....so, I guess well balanced with a nice fruity after taste. Not high in alcohol and great for our Coachella valley summers."

Scicillio Grillo

"Grape grown in eastern Sicily that is distilled for Marsala wine is a good BT itself. Elements of Citrus and herbal flavors with bright acidity makes it a great food wine or by itself in the pool. More vivacious than Pinot Grigio and worth a try"
