Wow, this is why I love doing what I do. Would you believe someone if they told you there was a region of the world that produced a Syrah like an Amarone? Well, if you did, you'd have to assume it'd be in Italy, and you wouldn't be wrong, but I mean, who does this!? The Sicilians. And, to great effect. Everything you love about Syrah, but reductive, concentrated, and not overbearing (this isn't like the bold, rich SoCal stylings that on paper might sound similar). There is an incredible sense of place here, varietally correct, but a damn unicorn in the wide world of Syrahs/Shirazs - not to be missed folks, especially if you're a Syrah fan or collector.

Expressive on the nose with red cherries, plum sauce, and black olive haloed by blueberry and tar. The entry is luscious and earthy with delicate leather and bramble interwoven with cigar box and black cardamom, medium acidity, and swept by polished, grainy, horizontal tannins. The finish is long, barrel-kissed, and resonant with blueberry and plum coulis. For fans of Syrah, Amarone, and Ripasso.
