Lot 380 | 2021 IGT Venezia Giulia Ribolla Gialla 750ml (91-Points)

Lot 380
2021 IGT Venezia Giulia Ribolla Gialla (91-Points)

Fresh and bright with pretty lilac and citrus-crusted mineral perfume alongside hints of flint greet you on the front. This bottling is fleshy and zesty on the palate with accessible fruit nicely delineated over crystalline minerality. It's fleshing out nicely now and, while it's quite approachable today, it'll benefit from some air to bring out the deeper complexity awaiting underneath.

Too floral for my taste

"Wine wasn’t bad with food but a separate glass wasn’t great. Nose and palate were quite floral forward."

Good new varietal

"Crisp, grapefruit perfume. Good on a hot day or with some pasta. New wine to us, which we appreciate denegoce for. At this price point would buy again."

So Refreshing

"I love the taste of this wine - it is a perfect marriage of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio. It is neither too sweet or dry. I have introduced this unknown grape to many of my friends during our frequent Happy Hours !"

Diane G. (5/5)

Minerally and quaffable

"I rather liked this, it reminded me of a Slovenian Ribolla Gialla I really enjoy. Definitely more on the floral side than fruity - maybe even could be called a bit punchy, but in a good way."
