Lot 413 is a 100% single-vineyard, single-block source Sauvignon Blanc that's grown on a hillside in the small but mighty Stags Leap District AVA, a sub-appellation perfect for Bordelaise varieties. Stags Leap gets hotter than the surrounding southern Napa Valley appellations because of bands of exposed rock that refract warmth onto the vineyards. But once the sun falls behind the Mayacamas, cool air rolls in off San Pablo Bay. After a long growing season the fruit was harvested then fermented and stored in 100% stainless steel tanks to preserve its single-block fruit character.
Captivating and elegant on the nose with immediate gooseberry, mango, dried herbs and lime gently overtoning wet stone minerality and citrus. The entry has a zesty spice accenting pear and tropical fruits with exceptional acidity leading into a clean, uplifted finish.
