Lot 424 is a supporting blend of Napa benchlands fruit from Rutherford and Oakville, with the meat-on-the-bones being a single-vineyard source in St. Helena. The benchlands fruit offers warm weather and gravelly soils making for deep, luscious juice, while the single-vineyard St. Helena source is high elevation with vines growing in shallow volcanic soil, subject to hard wind, strong sun, a dramatic diurnal shift, and severe storms. Long and short, gobs of structure here folks.

Available for purchase in the U.S. only excluding AL, AK, AR, DE, HI, MS, ND, RI, UT, WV.

Here it is: a big, extracted Napa Valley Cab with all the bells and whistles; 24 months in French oak and normally $150/btl. If you love the boldness of mountain fruit woven with the lush valley floor style, I've got something for YOU...😉

Mind you, a small Lot with only 150 cases to go around, this rockstar Cab comes from a winery along the Silverado Trail surrounded by some of the biggest names in Napa Valley. I got it for a song, and I'm passing the deal onto this list at $39/bottle.

Lot 424 is a supporting blend of Napa benchlands fruit from Rutherford and Oakville (two of my favorite AVAs, as this list knows well), with the meat-on-the-bones being a single-vineyard source in St. Helena. Dark ruby on the pour, the nose is filled with raspberry coulis and plum wrapped in crushed florals with cedar accents. The palate is lush with ripe cherries and further plum shifting to chocolate, classic Napa dust, uplifted barrel spices, and undertones of licorice framed by bold tannins and medium, gravelly acidity. The finish is long, accented by vanilla with resonant cherries and raspberries.
