Crafted by a winemaker who started in the Willamette Valley, then worked for blue chip estates in the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA and the greater Sonoma AVA, it's safe to say Pinot is in good hands here. The juice spent 10 months in 100% French oak, 33% new wood, 33% 1st and 2nd pass barrels all comprised of Ermitage and Remond cooperage.

Lot 444 opens with delineated red fruits, rose petals, potpourri, and freshly-turned potting soils. The entry is welcoming with a cherry and mushroom profile defined by great concentration, expert balance, and perfectly interwoven acidity backed by noticeably grippy small tannins. The finish is long and uplifted with red fruit umami flecked by vanilla and spice.
