Lot 449 | 2023 Monterey County Rosé of Pinot Noir 750ml

Lot 449
2023 Monterey County Rosé of Pinot Noir

750ml

$35/bottle under the original label

Lot 449 is made by an old school Carmel Valley winemaker specializing in Burgundian varietals to produce a deliciously bone dry 100% Rosé of Pinot Noir. Not widely distributed or sold online, the wine is only available at the winery or their downtown Carmel tasting room.

This beautifully tinted wine checks every box on the Rosé list as soon as the aromas hit your nose – strawberries, cherries, and earthy tones are backed by a dried herb bouquet. The palate entry is lively and bright, with additional strawberries cascading across the palate quickly followed by mouthwatering, stony acidity. The finish is bone dry, long and uplifted with delicate red fruits and earth – an utterly quaffable experience.

Waves of Roses

"Finely wrought acidity provides a frame for dried apple and hint of citrus. Well integrated and almost elegant in a way with a nice crispness and firm and lively finish. Pairs beautifully with soft cheese and Pate'."

Nice flavorful rosé

"Crisp and delicious rosé that is darker and has a deeper flavor than some of the other de Negoce offerings. Really enjoy this one, especially in the winter."

Love this rose

Summer in a sip

"A nice, smooth wine."

Tint more red than pink

"Tint more red than pink. 449 is mouthwatering as described. Strawberry followed by cherry, then opens up a bit more as it warms. I think a little too elegant to call it fully quaffable."

Paul C. (5/5)

Wonderful

"This is a GREAT, dry and delicious rose."

Huge Surprise - I bought a case.

"I bought 2 bottles to try as I am very picky about Rose. I have not had too many that I like. Well...I bought a case, its that good. Gives an under ripe to slightly ripe raspberry feel, slightly tart, not sweet at all, feels like it should be sweet, but not, deep stone fruit mid mouth, great wine for an afternoon on the deck. Hang out with great friends and treasure this one."

Jodi B. (5/5)

Crisp, clean

"Perfect for summer. Depth of flavor without overwhelming easiness on the palette. Have bought several times and often wonder why I haven’t gotten a full case yet"
