"We have never, been disappointed with Cabs from de Negoce. And you can't beat the price. We're not meat eaters by the way. So pairing with certain food does not apply. Pairing with good friends is what we do. This is a bold cabernet so let it breathe, then enjoy."

Very Nice
"Bought one through the bottle shop and after trying it bought several more. It is a big Napa cab as you would expect and drinkable now or can sit for a few years if you choose. We had a glass before dinner and then had the rest with a ribeye. This wine worked great both with and without food."

A Sumptuous Gem
"A personal favorite, the nose on 490 displays warm plum, black cherry, walnut/cedar, and basil. On the palate, dark red fruit, walnut, vanilla, petrichor, peppercorn, basil, and a perfect balance of forward acidity and sufficiently grippy tannins. Truly sumptuous."

Richer, more descriptive
"This sumptuous Cabernet opens with an expressive bouquet of ripe plum, cassis, and black cherry, elegantly interlaced with cedar, violets, and a hint of crushed gravel. The palate echoes these aromas with layers of dark red fruit, walnut, vanilla, basil, and a touch of peppercorn, all lifted by a refreshing, forward acidity. Firm yet well-integrated tannins provide just the right amount of grip, carrying the wine to a long, refined finish. Truly a sumptuous expression of the varietal."

Impressionable, good value
"This is one of my favorite of the initial wines I picked up from de Negoce so far. This was so balanced, enticing and expressive, with everything in the right place. Medium-bodied, not the biggest of wines, but so expressive; definitely a re-buy for me. Great value too. It's a satisfying, big cab with plenty of extension on the palate, though is still young and not showing as well as it should in a few years. I ended up buying four more. Will try and forget about the others for a while."

Pretty Good. . . but not great.
"Great aroma, delicious bold rich fruit on the front of the palate, fruit gets a bit lost in the aftertaste yielding more to spice flavors. Paired pretty well with a grilled NY strip steak. Good Cab but not great."
