Lot 492 is a 100% Petite Sirah from the most prized vineyard block on a historic estate that’s been farmed since the 1800s. Vintage after vintage, international recognition and critical acclaim has been showered on this humble winery for championing the varietal. It's an old-school Petite Sirah built for the long haul.

The bouquet opens with rose petal, cranberry, and raspberry, intertwined with savory notes of olives and wet river stones haloed by crushed violets. Red-to-black fruit is immediate upon palate entry, underscored by vanilla-flecked oak influence and an uplifted spice framed by silky acidity and fresh, velvety tannins. A long, concentrated finish unfurls with fresh-sliced vanilla bean, bramble fruit, and crushed gravel umami. Beautiful right now with a decant, it will blossom in your cellar over the next decade.
