Lot 493 is a 100% estate-grown Pinot Noir, featuring select blocks from vineyards occupying some of the best land across the appellation. Previous releases in this series have garnered 90+ points from the major critics and publications, and there’s no reason to think that won’t continue here, given 2023’s “vintage of a lifetime” reputation.

A nose of raspberry sauce, rose petals, and potpourri is layered over a foundation of earthy potting soil, dried leaves, and plums. On the palate, its Burgundian soul shines – red berries, crushed rocks, flint, elevated barrel spice, medium+ acidity, and fresh tannins are harmoniously integrated. The finish is long and refined, with uplifted spice and cranberries gracefully transitioning into delicate waves of Bing cherries and vanilla blossoms.
