Alluring aromas of blackberries, black cherries, crushed violets, dark chocolate, and cedar greet you on the nose, delineated by a halo of iris and caramel. The palate is terroir-driven – concentrated dark fruits meet gravel and crushed river stones, accented by new soft leather and tobacco leaf, all buoyed by medium+ acidity and anchored by grippy, medium-grained tannins. The finish is dry and persistent, with crushed florals, dark brambles, and earth. An obvious champion of your cellar for years to come, but if you can’t resist, a healthy decant will do wonders.
