Lot 511 is a radiant showcase of 100% Grüner Veltliner. Sourced from one of the preeminent standard-bearers of the AVA, this wine boasts a New World fruited character while still possessing Grüner’s distinct acidity and minerality. It’s a delicious Californian take on a Danube River classic (with 90+ scores from the majors in previous vintages to boot). Cold fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness, the wine saw no malolactic or lees stirring – a minimal intervention approach from a local winemaker who has spent decades perfecting the craft.

Vibrant aromas of lemon, yellow apple, pear, and herbs practically dance out of the glass. A bright, energizing palate entry with nuances of fennel pollen and ginger is bolstered by pronounced minerality and exceptional medium+ acidity. The finish is clean and refreshing, unfolding with delicate waves of additional apples and pears before fading gracefully with ripples of white blossom.
