Lot 533 is a 100% estate-grown Pinot Noir from a small winery nestled near the hamlet of Graton, home to some of the Russian River Valley’s most revered Pinot Noir producers. Here, our source has long been a pioneer in applying Old World techniques to craft distinctly New World Pinot Noirs – in this case, a beautiful expression of Pommard clones from some of the finest blocks in the best cool-climate terroirs across this expansive appellation. The result? A fuller-bodied expression with intricate structure and superb concentration – a Pinot that would please even Cab lovers.

On the pour, the wine shimmers with a deep ruby hue. Aromas of plum sauce billow from the glass, backed by wild blueberries, raspberries, and notes of brown sugar and cinnamon. The palate is fuller-bodied, showcasing layers of red berry coulis, cocoa, and dried florals, underscored by tobacco leaf and freshly turned earth elegantly wrapped in balanced acidity and plentiful, fresh tannins. A long, dry finish reveals layers of earth tones, minerality, additional red fruits, and well-integrated barrel spice, culminating with a whisper of vanilla.
