Lot 534 | 2023 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 750ml

Lot 534
2023 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

750ml

$75/bottle under the original label

Lot 534 is a 100% estate-grown, block-select Pinot Noir from a winery located near the hamlet of Graton – home to some of the Russian River Valley’s most revered producers. Crafted from the finest blocks of their premier cool-climate vineyards, this wine is as varietally pure an expression as you’ll find in the States, made under the watchful eye of a UC Davis-trained winemaker whose tour of duty includes some of the most iconic Napa/Sonoma estates before falling in love with the local rugged, otherworldly terroir.

The bouquet opens with a vibrant interplay of cranberries and dried herbs, gradually unfurling layers of red licorice and toast. On the palate, the cranberry notes persist, seamlessly accompanied by mushroom, cherries, spice, and a strong Burgundian-like minerality. Deftly interwoven acidity and small, plush tannins lead to a remarkably clean finish, where whispers of flint, spice, and vanilla dance with fresh strawberry umami, leaving a lasting impression of finesse.

Lot 534 | 2023 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

"Delicious pinot- smooth, well balanced, plenty of lovely fruit from strawberries and cherries to nice minerality and tannins. I love this wine, especially for the price!"

Exceptional Pinot

"We rarely give five star reviews, but we are particularly fond of this pinot. We have enjoyed it with a variety of dishes, the latest being chicken goulash served with chard."

Joseph M. (5/5)

Excellent value for the money

"I did a side-by-side tasting and comparison of LOT 534 Pinot Noir (2023 Sonoma Coast), and LOT 568 Pinot Noir (2023 Mendocino coast). To do this I waited long enough that both releases are well beyond bottle-shock. Both are Burgundian style Pinots, and I like them a lot, but there are differences. LOT 568 is a lot smoother and ready to drink now compared to LOT 534. However, it does not exhibit the unique “earthy” Pinot Noir traits, which 534 exhibits in abondance."

Tasty, light, and just right

"Love this, wish there was more to buy. I never knew I liked light Pinots until DeNegoce introduced me to them."

Nicholas J. (5/5)

Volnay-like California Pinot Noir

"Soft tannins with remarkable delicious fruit. Reminded me of a mature 1st growth Volnay burgundy tasted in the past. Could not imagine a better California pinot for its' price."

Robert W. (5/5)
