Lot 545 is a 100% Chardonnay that hails from a highly acclaimed boutique producer located by the heart of the AVA. A family-run operation with a tight-knit team that biodynamically farms their vineyards to ensure peak levels of vineyard health, the quality shows in every bottle. Their meticulously crafted wines are nothing short of outstanding, and today’s release is a perfect example – fermented in stainless steel, malolactic was withheld to produce a wonderfully refreshing and clean cold-climate Chardonnay.

Graceful and precise, the elegant nose opens with Asian pear and subtle apricot, rounded out with crème fraîche and a saline nuance that lends poise. The palate follows in kind, with citrus, wet river stones, and a gentle lift of spice braced by medium+ acidity. A long, crystalline finish is deeply satisfying, with pear and apricot reemerging with a quiet persistence. Beautiful.
