Lot 563 is an estate-grown, single-vineyard 100% Petite Sirah. Our source crafts it tip to tail with as much careful precision as any of the valley’s best houses do with their signature Cabernets. No detail is too small, no expense is spared, and much like the best Champagnes, it's only released during the finest vintages. 2023 provided perfect conditions, resulting in a classically inky, intensely structured behemoth that’s also one of the most refined Napa Valley Petite Sirahs we’ve had the pleasure of sampling in years.

Immensely dark on the pour, a vortex of vibrant blackberry and blackcurrant pulls you in, revealing aromas of dark cocoa, black tea, and cinnamon. The entry is powerfully structured with espresso and dried cherry, followed by soils and bramble fruit, unveiling plentiful, grippy tannins amidst perfectly integrated acidity. The finish is persistent and wrapped in French oak, with a delicate spice and a fair amount of vanilla in its youth. A bit of air reveals elegant vanilla blossoms and red fruit accompanied by crushed rock and additional cocoa powder. Special.
