Lot 564 is a classically styled flagship bottling from a first-rate Silverado Trail estate. Their all-star winemaking team puts together a slightly different blend each vintage to get the best possible result, and their 2023 offering is as good as it gets. It’s a beauty of a wine that features primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with a light touch of two other Bordelaise varietals. The trained palate will recognize a meticulously structured Rutherford core, accented by mountain fruit in a supporting role. Consistent scores in the 90s from top critics are a formality each year.

Black cherries and currant leap out of the glass. A second whiff reveals graphite and mocha, followed by eucalyptus and violets. Nice solid Cab ready for drinking now

"I really enjoyed this Cab. It had a nice complex nose and a typical cherry first taste. It was a little tight at first but it opened up nicely and had a really long smooth finish. Probably would benefit with a little longer breathing time but it was enjoyable throughout and fun to experience the change in richness and flavor as it opened. The best part of this Cab was that it is enjoyable now and is a great weekday go to wine. I really enjoyed it, I think you will too!"

"Rated 94 points: This was a bit richer and more plush than some of the other de Negoce Napa cabs I've had. I happened to decant this for a long time - about seven hours. This had a freshness, with very inviting red fruit, with a chalky aspect that was very welcome. There were some menthol notes too, and acidity felt on the lower side. This was really delicious and the decanting seemed to really help it shine - it didn't feel too closed or unyielding."
