Lot 574 comes to us from a celebrated producer whose Chardonnay routinely scores mid-90s from the major critics (and is a fixture at posh restaurants across the country to boot). Our source has remained true to form, crafting wines using delicate fruit with dazzling concentration and acidity from both estate and grower sites in close proximity to the ocean. This is a stunning, superbly balanced Chardonnay that saw just enough oak to lend roundness and texture to the palate and just enough stainless steel to preserve its minerality and electric energy.

The nose opens with a crash of lemon and fresh butter, followed by hints of starfruit and white florals wrapped in warm spice and caramel. A second whiff reveals a deep golden apple core that lures you into the first sip. On entry, apple and vanilla parade over a strong minerality, with balanced acidity finely tuned to lift the richness. The texture is supple, carrying a delicate spice through a clean and persistent finish of orchard fruit and hints of crème brûlée fading into white blossoms. This is a highly quaffable Chard with immense versatility, built to impress.
