Lot 611
2024 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
750mlAround $70/bottle under the original label
Lot 611 is a 93-point James Suckling scored (under our label) single-vineyard lightning bolt that’s an exquisite demonstration of cold-climate terroir from one of the region’s standard-bearers. We agreed to terms that included declassifying the printed label in order to secure the deal (and get you an even better price), but this is a 100% West Sonoma Coast stunner that glimmers with all the depth and class that’s rocketed these wines onto white tablecloths everywhere. Specific winemaking details must be kept hush hush, but this wine saw a minimal-intervention approach by our source and barrel aging in French oak of the finest cooperage to accent its natural brilliance
Aromas of lemon curd and churned butter rise from the glass, framed by a whisper of brioche and baking spice. On entry, a sumptuous intersection of golden apples, vanilla, and minerality are supported by fine acidity and a touch of spice, lifted by a smooth texture that glides through the palate with ease. A lingering finish leaves you wanting more as it exits with light florals and a flicker of spice. Equally delicious as a solo sipper or on your dinner table.
