Lot 175 | 2019 Red Mountain/Walla Walla Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml (Double Gold)

Lot 175
2019 Red Mountain/Walla Walla Cabernet Sauvignon (Double Gold)

Dark garnet in the glass. Beautifully lifted aromas of violets and black cherry/blackberry contrast with darker and more mysterious tones of dark earth, graphite, mulled cinnamon and crushed red rock. Excellent complexity. The silky texture is layered with fruit and chewy tannins supported by vibrant acidity punctuated with lightly toasted wide-grain French oak. Fantastic balance, power and elegance from a terrific vintage.

Heavenly

"This is my last bottle of the Columbia Valley Cab. It's been in the cellar for at least 5 years and has aged wonderfully. Deep garnett color with dark fruits on the nose and pallet. Will miss wine!"

Bold and beautiful

"Juicy, bold, and well structured tannins. Give this one some time to decant and you have a stunning wine that stands up to bold sauces and red meat. This is a beautiful showing of what Red Mountain and Walla Walla can do!"

Teri T. (5/5)

Needs some bottle time

"Well balanced Red Mountain Cab, but needs some aging to temper the tannins, like most Red Mountain cabs. But a good value."

Mark K. (4/5)

Very nice WA Cab

"What a great expression of a tasty Washington state Cab. Get this: we paired it with spicy shrimp and mango salsa flour tacos. Was excellent."

Todd S. (4/5)

Great Value Cabernet

"Love this wine with some air. Bold cab that can cellar more or drink with air. Great value that was awarded double gold."

John L. (5/5)

Solid Cab

"Not mind-blowing, but a very satisfying and traditional cab."

James G. (4/5)

Wish there was more

"Fantastic, liked it so much - bought a second case, consistently good over the past months, wish we could get yet another case!"
