Wine Details & Tasting Notes

Lot 208 comes to us from a vineyard just outside of Hopland in Mendocino County. These 45+ year-old-vines produce a beautiful, Alsatian-style Pinot Blanc with complex, well-delineated aromas and a beautifully-balanced, mouthwatering palate expression. This same wine recently received an 89 from a prominent critic who called it "fresh and lively". The producer is a personal favorite for balanced, food-friendly wines.

Zesty, high-toned bouquet of peach skins and green apples is haloed with honeyed blossoms and river cobble. Fresh and lively indeed on the palate with crunchy acidity carrying intense orchard fruit flavors through a long, sustained, mouthwatering and clean finish. Deftly constructed with elegance and impact in perfect balance.

100% Pinot Blanc, 100% old-vine from Mendocino County
100% stainless steel barrel fermented with lees stirring for mouthfeel
13.5% alc.
