Lot 237 | 2020 Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley 750ml

Lot 237 | 2020 Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley 750ml

Lot 237 comes to us from the same producer as Lots 209 and 226 - the same style from the same vineyards.

This is purpose-built, barrel-aged Fume Blanc-style Sauvignon that spends years in barrel on its lees. The net effect is a fabulously rich and exotic Sauvignon Blanc with gorgeous aromatics and a succulent mouthfeel. However, the acidity is all there too, adding a mouthwatering component to the succulence.

This wine retails for just south of $40 and the last vintage scored 92-95-point scores from Decanter, Wine Spectator, Jeb Dunnuck, and James Suckling.

This is an elegant but powerful SB.  Pungent aromas reminiscent of a warm summer day by the pool - fragrant jasmine and white lillies, fresh linen infused with notes of passionfruit, guava, pomelo and lemongrass. Fermentation in aged french oak barrels lends a fleshy viscosity and a hint of vanilla to the juicy backbone of tropical fruit, evolving into a mineral flinty finish as mouthwatering flavors of meyer lemon and passionfruit linger throughout. Yum.
