Lot 245 | 2020 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 750ml

$56/bottle under the original label

Heads up Chardonnay geeks!

Perfectly ripe and mouthwatering, this Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is sourced from two Russian River Valley sites and one site between Freestone and Occidental, just west of the Green Valley Of the Russian River Valley AVA. Its a right-up-the-middle stylistically with about 30% malolactic fermentation and 30% new oak so maybe it more accurate to say its a pretty classic Russian River style. Its not a butter and oak bomb but it is flat-out gorgeous. If you liked N.77, Lot 182 or Lot 185, you'll love the Burgundian styling here....rich and textured but always fresh and lively.

Retailing for over $55/bottle at the winery (their only outlet is their winery tasting room), this beautiful Chardonnay has 93-95 point scores from both Jeb Dunnock and The Wine Enthusiast for the 2018 and 2019 vintages. This is the exact same wine the winery just bottled. It's a fantastic offer at $19/bottle.

A wine of precision and grace.

Limpid yellow with just the slightest hint of green. Offers a beautiful bouquet of white flowers, honeysuckle, Meyer lemon, poached pear, and mango. Racy and nervy on the palate with ripe citrus and stonefruit draped over a honeyed beam of acidity and echoing through a long finish. The interplay of purity and richness here is fantastic. Booyah.
