Lot 145 | 2018 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml

Lot 145
2018 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep ruby with an opaque core. Focused layers of aromatic complexity featuring dried cherry, creme de cassis and dusty blackberry compote mingling with cedar, creme de cassis and leather. Supple and beautifully seamless on entry, well-supported with lively acidity and chewy, palate-staining tannins coated in blackberries and brown sugar with a vanilla bean top note. Medium-full-bodied (14.8% alc.) with juicy acidity and supple, nuanced, perfectly-ripe fruit, this is a beautifully-balanced, precise and powerful Cabernet Sauvignon that will age nicely over the next 10-15 years. A true Napa Valley Classic!

Give this wine a bit more time

"Though bottled January 2021, this well structured, full-bodied wine is truly not ready to 'rock 'n roll' yet. This wine needs at least another 12 months to coalesce and possible try once again during late 2026 or early 2027."

Solid

"Solid wine, but not exceptional like some other lots in this price range. But still, you aren't getting this quality of a wine at this price from a traditional brick and mortar store."
